Meet Andy

A fourth-generation Clearwater native, Andy Burwell has spent more than 30 years as a licensed real estate broker, helping clients who become his friends. He can trace his success as an agent to ensuring he doesn’t make a move unless he can answer in the affirmative to the Four-Way Test: Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it benefit all concerned?

 

Before real estate, Andy was a hardworking student who earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Florida State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Florida. Andy was a high school senior when his parents sold the family home they built from scratch — a bittersweet moment, but one in which their helpful agent hooked Andy on the career. He loves to serve others with his accumulated experiences, and his clients run the spectrum: repeats, referrals, and even three generations of clients from multiple families.

 

Since founding Burwell Real Estate in 1992, Andy has become a consistent top producer and joined the Chairman’s Circle, an elite group that only 0.8% of Realtors® achieve nationwide. He has also received multiple top-agent awards for the highest gross annual commissions. Andy’s full plate of industry designations includes Graduate, Realtor® Institute, Certified Residential Specialist, International Marketing Specialist, Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource, Certified Relocation Professional, and Signature Property Specialist.

 

Andy has been married to his wife since 1996. He has a daughter and son — both grown — and a young Lab and senior Yorkie! He serves on many community boards, including the Salvation Army, Rotary Club of Clearwater, Morton Plant Hospital, BayCare Health System, and Peace Memorial Presbyterian Church. In addition to his family, Andy is passionate about fishing, flying, playing tennis, and boating, for which he holds a captain’s license.
